In order to identify the most important areas in which you can take action, we provide the security requirements status report available through the Partner Center. The terms related to these security requirements, including timelines and milestones, are included in the Microsoft Partner Agreement. They must implement these security requirements as quickly as possible in order to remain compliant with their participation in the CSP program. As of August 1, 2019, all partners participating in the Cloud Solution Provider program and consultants will be required to integrate basic security measures by enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) and adopting the Secure Application model. Not all Microsoft online services portals require partner accounts to register at the customer`s request when you have access to customer resources with delegated partner administrator rights. Instead, partner accounts only need to register with the partner person. The Exchange Admin Center is an example. Over time, we expect these portals to require partner accounts to sign up at the customer`s request when using partner delegated administrator rights. If the partner account has not yet registered with the AMF during the AMF verification, Azure AD asks the user to first complete the AMF registration: partners who do not implement the mandatory security requirements cannot carry out transactions in the Cloud Solution Provider program or manage client mandates using the rights of managing administrator. In addition, partners who do not implement security requirements may jeopardize their participation in programs. Terms related to partner security requirements have been added to the Microsoft Partner Agreement. For consultants, the same contractual requirements apply.
A partner has certain user accounts in its partner mandates that are used by the devices as service accounts. These are low-skilled accounts, for which there is no need to access partner services portals or Microsoft Online Services to manage customer resources with partner delegated administrator permissions.. . . .
